Schizophrenic Form Psychosis of Epilepsy

Abstract

|
The author reports on one patient who showed the very similar symptoms to those schizophrenia consisting delusion, hallucination and various kinds of psychotic feature, but he revealed paroxysmal dysrhythmia on E.E.G. He has been diagnosed and treated as schizophrenia for 8 years and does not shown any improvement. Dramatic and marked improvement of psychotic symptoms were noticed when treated with anticonvulsant administration. He has had history of three times of generalized convulsion at one year ago, but disappeared spontaneously. On his family history, he has two epileptic patient of his family. Literature reviews were a so made briefly.
